Pennsylvania authorities now say that a local exotic dancer allegedly made a deal to sell her baby girl for $1,700, took the money, however, didn’t follow through with the arrangement.

Lycoming County Detective William Weber said that the 22-year-old, Keanaendigo James, signed a notarized agreement back in April of 2016 to sell her daughter, who was first born back in July of the same year. She is now wanted on charges of theft and dealing an infant.

Detectives first learned of the deal when the woman, who’d agreed to purchase the child, filed a small-claims court lawsuit back in September to get her money back. James then agreed to repay the woman, however, authorities are saying that she still has yet to do so.

They haven’t been able to find her.

Weber says that James worked as an exotic dancer in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and in New Jersey.

The baby is safe and currently living with her father.
