The Buffalo Soldiers were originally members of the U.S. 10th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army, and were formed on the day of September 21, 1866 inĀ Forth Leavenworth, Kansas.

This nickname was given to the “Negro Calvary” by several Native American tribes that they’d fought in the Indian Wars.
