This is the scary fight our people endured in 1963

In 1963, Birmingham, Alabama was considered to be arguably the most segregated city in the United States.  There was a huge sacrifice to confront the powers that were seeking to keep black people “in our place.”

This is a video which documents the struggle of those who fought for freedom during this difficult time.  It also shows us what we’ve had to go through in order to have the freedoms that we have today.

While black people were protesting peacefully, they were considered to be trouble makers.  It reminds you of today doesn’t it?  Just asking for the freedom  you deserve can make you appear to be a threat to those who are seeking to keep you down.

Remember this video every time you see a black child who doesn’t want to read or go to school.

We fought long and hard for the freedom we have right now.

Watch this video, it will give you a new perspective.
