Legendary rapper Tupac Shakur was one of the most outspoken and controversial rappers to ever have lived.

In his 1998 song ‘Changes,’ he talks about the war on drugs, the treatment of Black people by the police and the difficulties of living in an improvised area. What’s so ironic is that the lyrics are hauntingly relevant today.  The only thing that has changed since the song was recorded was the fact that we do have a Black president now—Tupac said the world wasn’t ready for one.  Maybe he stands corrected.  As we see, the world wasn’t ready for President Barrack Obama, who is constantly disrespected by many.

Listen in and tell us what you think.
