A Florida mother is now in mourning after witnessing the horrific moment when her teenage daughter took her own life via Facebook Live – however, authorities are now claiming that when the mother watched the tragic video she’d even took it upon herself to taunt her daughter via the internet.

“I am sick and devastated by this tragedy,” Gina Caze said through tears at a press conference in the days following Naika Venant’s death. “I trusted Florida foster care people to care for my baby. Instead she killed herself on Facebook. I have to bury my baby.”

Naika Venant, 14, hanged herself in the bathroom of the foster home that she’d lived in with hundreds of people watching on January 22. After years of living in foster homes, people claim that she was allegedly neglected abused and assaulted on several occasions. Now, a new report from the Department of Children and Families alleges that Gina Caze, her very-own mother, was among the hundreds of viewers watching her daughter commit suicide and did absolutely nothing to stop the tragedy from taking place.

She allegedly wrote: “#ADHD games played u sad little DCF custody jit that’s what u where u at for this dumb sh– n more u keep crying wolf u dead u will get buried life goes on after a jit that doesn’t listen to there parents trying to be grown seeking boys and girls attention instead of her books.”

According to the Tampa Bay Times, “jit” is a slang expression that means a young gangster.

The alleged comment is now being included in a 20-page report from DCF that was made just last week. However, Caze’s attorney denies any claims, saying that the mother wasn’t watching the Facebook Live broadcast and was only under the impression that the entire broadcast was fake.

“The statement that is contributed to Naika’s mother was made after Naika was already deceased,” Stacie Schmerling told CBS. “But Naika’s mother was told that it was all a hoax, that the suicide was a hoax and that her daughter was not deceased.”

The report also claims that the relationship between Naika and her mother was troubled. After losing custody of her daughter twice, in a nine-month time span, the young girl was removed from the home and sent to at least 14 different foster homes during that time.

We are sad that this has to be news, however, we are hopeful that the family of Nakia is able to find their peace with this situation, as well as her careless mother who’d taunted her own child during such a trying time.
