Granville Tailer Woods was an engineering genius

Granville Tailer Woods was a respected African American inventor who was known as the “Black Thomas Edison.”

He held more than 50 patents, and is the first Black man to become a mechanical and electrical engineer after the Civil War.  His most notable invention to date was the Multiplex Telegraph which allowed train stations to send messages between train stations and moving trains.

In this mini-documentary we learn more about this great man, and ow his inventions had a great and positive impact on our society today.
