Georgia Woman Gives Chilling Thumbs Up After Killing Husband & Children

So sad.

A Georgia woman has now been charged with killing her entire family, four children, as well as her husband, and even had the nerve to smile and give a thumbs up to news cameras while making her first appearance in court this past Friday.

Telling the judge that she doesn’t wish to have an attorney, immigration officials have also made it clear that the woman is an illegal immigrant from Mexico.

Isabel Martinez, 33, showed up in Gwinnett County Magistrate Court Judge Michael Thorpe’s courtroom only one day after police claimed that she’d allegedly stabbed all five of her family members to death and seriously injured another child at her home, which is located right outside Atlanta.

The 9-year-old child fortunately survived, however, still remains in the hospital with what police are describing as serious injuries.

Before the hearing even began, Martinez sat with the other inmates and posed for the media cameras, smiling, putting her hands up in a prayer position and even giving a thumbs up.

As the judge named the charges that she is facing, five counts of malice murder, five counts of murder and six counts of aggravated assault — Martinez smiled, shook her head “no” and wagged her finger at him. The judge sharply advised her not to perform for the cameras.

“Ma’am, I’m going to caution you to cut out the display for the cameras,” he said. “It’s really not a good idea, probably not to your benefit.”

Once Thorpe informed her of her right to an attorney, Martinez said, via Spanish interpreter, that she doesn’t wish to have one.

“You are the hope of the world, each one of you,” she continued, appearing to address the news cameras. “It doesn’t matter what color you are because God loves us all.”

Local officials called the killings “horrendous.”

“What prompts a person to take the life of such innocent children and her spouse is something we may never understand,” Gwinnett County police said in a statement. “This is a horrendous crime not only for the victims but for the extended family, neighborhood and community.”

Though we are not sure what caused her to perform such heinous crimes, we are hopeful that justice will soon be served for the friends and family of the people that were killed in such a hateful act of violence.
