Sending prayers out to the family of Christopher “Big Black” Boykin.

It has sadly been confirmed that reality star of ‘Rob & Big’, as well as the best friend of Rob Dyrdek, Big Black has now passed away just this past Tuesday, according to reps from Variety.

He was 45.

Mr. Boykin was Dyrdek’s best friend, as well as bodyguard, starring in their famous reality show for three seasons. The series showed the two men in their day-to-day life, filming them on adventures such as the time that they’d adopted a mini-horse and broke a Guinness World Record.

This MTV show premiered back in 2006 and ended in 2008, only after Boykin found out that he was about to have a daughter and had to move out of the home that he and Rob shared.

He’d later go on to appear in several episodes of Dyrdek’s follow-up reality show, ‘Ridiculousness.’

Before making his debut on television, Boykin served in the U.S. Navy and even started a clothing line called ‘Do Work’ in the year of 2007.

Chanel West Coast, who appeared with Boykin on “Fantasy Factory” and “Ridiculousness,” tweeted after news broke, “RIP @BigBlack. My heart is crushed. I’ll remember all the times you made me laugh and my prayers go out to your family.”

Boykin is survived by a nine-year-old daughter, Isis.

Our prayers, love and well wishes go out to his family and dear friend, Rob Dyrdek.
