Can Somebody Slap The Black Off Ben Carson Please?
In a matter of hours, Ben Carson has seemed to piss off the whole entire conscious world and Black Twitter has absolutely no remorse when it comes to the Oreo of a black man, his political views and his brainwashed personality that has seemed to get him in more mess than Donald Trump in the last month.
Appearing to have likened slavery to immigration, he made it seem as if slaves were the equivalent of an immigrant.
So they chose to come to the United States?
When speaking during an address to employees at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, just this past Monday, Carson made the mistake of a lifetime… He started acting white!
Carson, who was first confirmed to lead the department earlier in the month, spoke on the work ethic of immigrants before taking it upon himself to imply that slaves, who he believes went on a expense pay cruise given by white people to America, worked much harder than others do.
I guess most of us would work pretty hard if we had a white man with a shot gun standing behind us screaming “Move n!gger! Move!” But hey, I’m just the messenger.
“There were other immigrants who came in the bottom of slave ships, who worked even longer, even harder, for less, but they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great grandsons, great granddaughters might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land,” said Carson, who is black.
“And do you know of all the nations in the world, this one, the United States of America, is the only one big enough and great enough to allow all those people to realize their dream. And this is our opportunity to enhance that dream,” he added.
Earlier in his remarks, Carson said: “That’s what America is about, a land of dreams and opportunity.”
HUD spokesperson Brian Sullivan made an attempt to clear the air after Carson’s foolish and ignorant comments, saying that “Nobody here believes he was equating voluntary immigration with involuntary servitude.”
Critics quickly came for his statement, or lack thereof, and rightfully ripped him to shreds.
Keith Boykin of CNN said:
“Ben Carson is also the guy who once compared Obamacare to slavery. I’m starting to think he may not understand the word ‘slavery.’”
Though the NAACP did decline to comment, they simply tweeted out, “Immigrants?” which was an efficient and affective response to Carson’s coonery and bafoonery.
Amid all of the uproar that has seemed to take place within the last 24 hours, a statement was later posted by Carson’s official Facebook page last night, which sadly admitted that slaves and immigrants had “two entirely different experiences.”
So, why didn’t he just say that from the beginning?
In an attempt to clear his own name, he continued on with these sluggish sentiments: “Slaves were ripped from their families and their homes and forced against their will after being sold into slavery by slave traders. The Immigrants made the choice to come to America.”
“The two experiences should never be intertwined, nor forgotten,” according to his Facebook post.
So, what are your thoughts on Carson’s comments? Think he has lost his whole entire damn mind?
In the words of Samuel L. Jackson during his response to the former runner up for Republican president, “Muthaf*kka Please!”
